Gary LaTray is a mentor at the Franciscan Collaborative Ministries in Syracuse, NY. He mentors /supervises people who have received community service as a punishment for crimes.
One evening last November, Gary was leaving his work at Franciscan Collaborative Ministries, and a young boy attempted to rob him at knife point. Gary now mentors this young boy. He actually requested to mentor him!
We need more people like Gary in this world, it would make it a much more pleasant place to be!
