A 2 week old baby girl was bitten in the head by her family's dog. The dog, a chow was quarantined after the attack. The baby, is the daughter of a Mesa, Arizona police officer. The mother, also an officer, but of the Salt River Pima Maricopa Indian Community, put the infant in a low lying bassinet, and when she returned moments later, she discovered the attack.
The baby was pronounced dead at the scene by officers.
