Has anyone here just been aggravated by life in general? I'll explain, or better yet get it off my chest! I work part time. My husband works full time, usually with overtime, since he travels for his position. I basically live alone with my children, and on occasion my husband is home. Don't get me wrong, I actually kind of like the arrangement.
It is nice because things are my way in the house, but become stressful when he arrives, because of course he likes things differently. I'm getting off subject here...sorry.
Anyways, I work one day out of the weekend, usually every other weekend. I specifically asked if he was going to be home on the Sunday that I was working, and yes, he was!!! Now last minute, of course, he has to work. I am left scrambling to find a sitter for the girls!
See why I am aggravated now???

The child endangerment charges are against Lynn and Lindsey Maxwell, (parent and step parent), for the deplorable conditions they kept Erin in. The house was filled with over 100 cats, dead kittens in a freezer, feces and garbage everywhere.
If it were up to me, these people would rot in hell for what they put that child through. They locked her in her room in the evenings, barely fed her, and treated her like garbage.

Martha Stewart's Dog Dies
Martha Stewart's dog has died, while at a kennel in the Pocono's. The kennel had a propane explosion when the propane was being delivered.
Apparently some sort of spark set off the explosion, and several dogs including Stewart's were killed in the blast. The kennel, Pazzazz Pet Boarding is home to many show dogs, including some that participate in Westminster. The kennel breeds and shows dogs.
My condolences to Martha for her loss. I know how it is to lose a beloved pet.

Janitorial Job Gets 700 Applicants
A janitorial position for a school in Ohio has received 700 applications. They have extended their deadline to accomodate the overwhelming response.
I guess this is a sign of our times right now. Not that there is anything wrong with a janitorial position, but most people wouldn't be applying to this. Now in today's day and age, where most major corporations are laying off their workers, and closing their doors, we need to take what we can get.
This position pays more than the position that I hold as a pharmacy technician. They pay $15-16 per hour plus benefits. In my opinion that is a pretty good job!

What Is The Holodomor?
I just learned a little tidbit about what is called Holodomor. I have always been interested in history. I came across this site about the Holodomor. It is actually the Soviet famine of 1932-1933. The communist government seized the grains from the peasants, and exported most of the agricultural output to the West, in order to sustain the rapid industrialization.
The term “Golodomor” means mass hunger or great hunger. Scholars have estimated between 6-8 million peasant deaths in this time period. Under Viktor Yuschenko’s reign of the Ukraine, back in 2004, the term “golodomor” was politicized into Holodomor, making it sound more like holocaust, and could have been considered as a genocide.
The European Parliament on October 23, 2008 rejected the request, stating it was not an act of genocide, but a crime that was “cynically and cruelly planned by Stalin’s regime in order to force through the Soviet Union’s policy of collectivization of agriculture”

2 Week Old Killed
A 2 week old baby girl was bitten in the head by her family's dog. The dog, a chow was quarantined after the attack. The baby, is the daughter of a Mesa, Arizona police officer. The mother, also an officer, but of the Salt River Pima Maricopa Indian Community, put the infant in a low lying bassinet, and when she returned moments later, she discovered the attack.
The baby was pronounced dead at the scene by officers.

Amber Alert: 3 Year Old Abducted
YREKA, Calif. — Authorities have issued an Amber Alert after a three-year-old girl was abducted during a burglary in Yreka. Authorities say Francis Ann Collins was abducted during a home burglary early Monday. The little girl is described as three-feet tall, with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a tie dyed T-shirt. Police have identified a suspect in the case as 22-year-old Cody Kaplan. He is described as weighing 140 pounds, with brown hair, hazel eyes. Husband Understands! Not!
This is so funny, last night when my husband and I were getting ready for bed, he told me he now realizes how patient I am.
I asked him if it is because he spent so much time with us the last week. He of course said yes. I think it is funny because he lost his cool so many times during the week, when it came to the dogs and kids. He even got to the point where he said we needed a bigger house, one with a cellar.
I asked him if it was because he wanted a "man cave". Yep, was the answer!
I just think it is hilarious, husbands always think we are lazy, or don't know what the hell we are talking about when we tell them we had a rough day and are tired. They have no clue.
How about you gals out there, do your men have a clue what you go through during a day?

Ultimate Paintball

I went to play paintball with my husband and some friends about six months ago and had such a great time, I have been searching for a place to purchase paintball gear from ever since. In my search on the web, I came across this site, Ultimate Paintball.
Billboard In Detroit Drawing Attention
There is a billboard in Detroit that is drawing some attention. It is for MGM, and depicts "golden eyes" with a face blended into a black background. Apparently some motorists see this billboard as sinister and want it taken down.
Apparently city councilwoman Alberta Tinsley-Talabi wants the sign taken down also. MGM is pleased with the hullaballo, that was the purpose of it, to get people to talk!
